A Temporary Fix

Is the temporary fix to the government shutdown going to work? Or is it going to damage our government even further than what the shutdown has already done?The two political parties have come to a temporary agreement in order to keep our government up and running until late February to early March. In march there permanent resolution as to what the two political parties are going to do about their differences will be discussed at another conference.

The shutdown has effected our economy in a major way. We have lost billions of dollars in the process of a dispute that came about through personal issues. The government and the American people that live under this government are looking for both parties to put aside there differences and make this government as strong as it could be for the citizens of America.It will be difficult for both political parties to be able to trust in the people that are chosen to help run our country and make the decisions for the bettering of their lives.The people of America will have to patiently wait until The beginning of next year to see what will happen.

Rumor Has It

Rumors are altered versions of the truth. A rumor can be a stretch from the truth or it could have small untruthful details.The way that a rumor could spread and change the way that someone or something is perceived, can have a drastic impact.

Lies and rumors go hand-in-hand. They spread like wild fire and can not be controlled. They can go on forever and not be stopped . Rumors and lies have the power to alter an entire life for the ones that are involved in it. It effects people like the black plague. It not only kills but, the process of death is slow and painful. The great suffering of those affected by it have no chance of survival or even revival.

There is no reason to spread a lie or a rumor. The truth is always the best way to go. Honesty is the most effective way to go about life. Whether the truth is negative or positive it is the greatest way to handle any situation. It ultimately is the best way to deal with whatever may be going on.

Changes In Our Education

To me, my education is everything. There is nothing that I personally depend on more than the system that gives me an education to better myself as a person and go further in life then imaginable. The school system is the stability of my life, as well as some of my fellow peers.

There has been a recent change in the grading system that a lot of people have given there opinion on. It has been hard for some people to grasp there head around why the grading scale has been changed and how it impacts us a students. The grading scale is now currently set up so that it is easier to make good grades. As a student I think that it is crippling our education because it is not pushing students to try there best and grow as people nor build upon there character. Students are not being given the chance to be learn as much as possible. This new grading system is telling students that it is okay to not progress in life. Students now believe that they can get by in life with there current level of knowledge and that they are already at there intellectual peek.

"The purpose of education, finally, is to create in a person the ability to look at the world for himself, to make his own decisions, to say to himself this is black or this is white, to decide for himself whether there is a God in heaven or not.  To ask questions of the universe, and then learn to live with those questions, is the way he achieves his own identity " ,said James Baldwin. Baldwin was saying that the purpose of education was to give the child the tools that he or she needed to look at the world from there own point of view.An education is used to help the child develop there mind to be able to make their own decisions.

The education that a child receives helps to set them up for their future. When the education system is not strong then the student can only go so far in life. It is a constant struggle for people around the world to get an education. Children in America are able to get a free education but, when the education that they are getting is not helping them progress they start to question what is the true purpose of it. We have to be challenged on an everyday basis in order for us to be able to think on an intellectual level. There will have to be a change in this school system if future generations are going to be able to run our country. We as a society need to be aware of how this impacts us as a nation. The future of this country is in jeopardy.

Abolish Grading

I believe that grading is used to show what a student has earned by the level of effort that they put into their work. It shows the kind of progress that they have made academically giving them the chance to let them know where they are in school. I think grading is there for a reason but can also be misused by the ones giving them.

When the grading system is abused it causes for a number of problems such as favoritism, unfair grading and stress. The teacher has the power to give grades by selecting favorite students to give better grades to no matter what their work ethic is like. The grading system can also be abused by unfair grading because, some students do better on a test than overall classwork. These problems can lead to stress by the student from all the pressure that he or she is under.

Some people may think that if grading were to be abolished that it would have a negative effect on students everywhere. This accusation is not true because there are no solid facts that state that grades are the foundation of learning. If the student has been given the chance to be judged on their testing and not strictly on grading, it could curve the the way that students perform in school. Therefore grading should be abolished because of the toll that it has taken on those who are receiving them.

Deep Down Inside

So hard to breathe this air that we call love,

Pain can make you wanna love no more

Someone once said to me that we shut people out because
we like to hide our true emotions and are afraid of what they can really mean. 
How does it make you really feel?
How does it make you feel when you are let down by the people you love?
Or when you are crushed because of the one time that you decided to let someone in they tore you to pieces?

Sometimes we do not like to open up and let our true emotions surface.
We find different maneuvers to hide in the shadow of what we would like to feel,
But can never really rid ourselves fully of what is deep down inside.

No matter what our hearts are telling us we always try to overpower
it with what our brains are telling us may be simpler or what will protect us from pain.
Sometimes we have to subject ourselves to what we are afraid of most,
so that we can experience it and be able to build ourselves as human beings.

Pain is apart of life.

It is as plain as day,
without pain we would not be able to be compassionate people.
There is nothing wrong with expressing your emotions.
You have to feel pain and hurt to be able to feel love and compassion.

So do not be afraid to put yourself out there.
Experience love, hate, sorrow, happiness,
or what ever it is that you feel in the moment.
